My name’s Kelli Korducki. I’m in my mid-20s, which means I oscillate between thinking I know everything and nothing on an hourly basis.
I’m a writer, a Midwestern transplant to Canada, a person of mixed ethnicity, a big sister, a choirgirl, a hot dog eater, and more. I think a lot about place, space, identity, and the stuff that makes people tick. You can find my words on these subjects and others in a number of fine publications (The Globe and Mail, This Magazine, Toronto Standard, Shameless Magazine, Thought Catalog, Torontoist, OpenFile, and others!). I research and proofread, too. One day I’ll make a real website and I’ll link to it for proof.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my little blog.
Hit me up at brain.guts.hands(at)gmail.com if you want a (written) piece of me!
Thanks!
Just stopped by your blog after reading Eating Bender’s post. Love the title of your blog and all the different pages. I am a new bloggie myself. It gets addicting fast! Good luck and I’m looking forward to reading more!

Posted by david collier | December 3, 2010, 7:43 pmThanks, David Collier! Are you the Halifax, Peterborough, or Vancouver version?
Posted by braingutshands | December 4, 2010, 2:47 amNope nope & nope. I’m an Inventor from Grand Rapids. I was just futzing around on the internet, came to your blog and thought, WOW – what compelling features. You seem like you would like to write a great Novel one day. Yes?! Well, never give up on your writing dreams! If you experience any set backs, just remember the story of the “The Failure”:
He failed in business in 31.
Ran for State Legislature and lost in 32.
Tried business again in 33 and he failed again.
His sweetheart died in 35.
He had a nervous breakdown in 36.
He was defeated for Congress in 43.
Defeated again for Congress in 48.
Defeated again when he ran for Senate in 55.
He was even defeated for the Vice-Presidency in 56.
Ran for Senate again in 58 and lost.
THIS MAN NEVER QUIT – HE KEPT TRYING UNTIL THE END!
IN 1860, THIS MAN – ABRAHAM LINCOLN, WAS ELECTED THE 16TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – I THINK YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID.
It seems that if you want to triple your success ratio, you might have to triple your failure rate.
Pick up a copy of his Biography – You’ll enjoy it, it’s really good! Like reeeally! lol:P

Posted by braingutshands | April 7, 2011, 2:32 pmDarling! Have you read Lynda Barry? She is similar to you and your love of exclamation points in the header. If you’ve not read I would HIGHLY recommend “ONE! HUNDRED! DEMONS!” It is truly amazing.
